IN Council on World Affairs Great Decisions Program welcomes Perfecto Caparas.
Perfecto Caparas is the associate Director of Graduate Programs for the Indiana University McKinney School of Law. Caparas was the Program Manager for the law schools International Affairs and Human Rights Law. A native of the Phillipines, Caparas received Honors in Human Rights for his published research on the rights of children in armed conflict. His dissertation, in anticipation of his PhD in 2020, is focused on activism related to environmental human rights protection. As an Asia Human Rights Fellow, Caparas was awarded the Anna Wu Prize for Human Rights for academic excellence. Caparas has also received recognition for investigative journalism. Caparas has numerous publications and has lectured widely on matters related to human rights, civil and political rights.
