India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi rode a wave of Hindu nationalism to a historic reelection in 2019. His first order of business was to revoke the special status granted to the Kashmir region, inflaming the rivalry between India and Pakistan. How will the Kashmir situation affect the region, both economically and politically?

IN Council on World Affairs Great Decisions Program welcomes Dr. Sushil Sharma.

Dr. Sushil Sharma is currently an associate dean and a professor of computer information systems (CIS) in the Miller College of Business at Ball State University. Dr. Sharma has the unique distinction of earning two doctoral degrees. He has over 20 years of administrative leadership experience and more than 25 years of experience in higher education.

He grew up in Himachal Pradesh, India which is an adjacent state of Jammu and Kashmir, India. As well as personal experience in the region he has maintained a strong interest in reading about the history and historical events of the region.
