Linking Indy Women Presents: Where Pigs Fly
GUEST SPEAKER: Lisa Schmitz, Co-Founder of Mars Hill Arts Center and Where Pigs Fly and Such
Lisa is an experienced Mentor, HR executive, and non-profit leader. Over the years, she has led organizational HR teams, served in many capacities with various nonprofits in Indianapolis, and mentored young professional women, which is a strong passion for Lisa. She also has a love for art, photography, and floral design. Most recently this love and passion for service has turned into a collaborative effort with her husband John. They are co-founders of the Mars Hill Arts Center, an art space created to serve an underprivileged neighborhood in Indianapolis. She has incorporated her own creative venture, Where Pigs Fly and such, as part of this arts nonprofit. This endeavor is a creative floral design studio that creates arrangements for parties, weddings, corporate team building events, girls night out diy parties, and floral fun! Lisa continues to mentor and truly believes that pouring into others is what she has been called her to do. Through the arts center and the other projects, including a new ministry God and My Girlfriends, she is striving to live out this calling in order to have a positive impact on others, especially other women of all ages.
